The Behavioral Health Research Collective (BHRC) is a non-profit organization in the State of Washington that hosts an Institutional Review Board (IRB) that reviews research conducted by the BHRC member organizations to be certain that it meets federal standards for the protection of human subjects.
The BHRC was formed in 2011 by seven mental health practice organizations for the purpose of hosting an IRB to support the practice-based research of the member organizations.
This website describes the BHRC IRB’s activities and provides resources we have developed that may be useful to practitioners who are conducting practice-based research or who wish to form their own IRB.
We do not offer IRB services for outside organizations or individuals at this time. We only review research protocols submitted by our member organizations.
If you are interested in becoming a member so you can have the IRB review your research, please contact us using our contact form. We are currently accepting new member organizations.
We are also happy to consult with other professionals who are interested in setting up their own IRB. Please contact us through the contact page.
